presents a series of paintings by
Dariana Ugalde, who lives and paints in St. Sauveur. These
are abstract paintings, which allow Dariana freedom, energy and
spontaneity. The pallet is minimal but texture is paramount, she
uses cement, plasters and objects or particles found in nature.
The process of material and paint application is an integral
part of her aesthetic experience. One can find movement, clean
lines, and empty spaces. She strives at simplicity while
expressing a deep bond with nature. Dariana has been paining
since childhood. She calls the space where she paints a lab! She
keeps on researching new methods, themes and materials. She says
“Painting chose me!”

Pauline Paquin moved her gallery to a new location. This
self-taught figurative oil painter is well known for her
particular style, depicting children at play which she continues
to do since 1979. In her paintings children enjoy the freedom to

emanates from Pauline’s paintings. The fact that the children
are painted without facial features, allows viewers to recall
the magic of their own childhood. In addition to her paintings,
Pauline also displays a series of cheerful painted clay
sculptures in the same style of her paintings, as well as the
work of a few other Quebec artists. Opening hours: Wed., - Sun.,
