Visual Arts

Forms & Light with Words - Roger Lauzon

Roger Lauzon “Forms and Light with Words” exhibits his recent body of work through which he wishes to incite poetic expression. He writes texts inspired by the images he took in nature. The photographs Roger takes are a result of observations during his forays into the woods. He zeros in to capture a moment in time. He sees rocks, wood, and water interact with time, movement and light, and aims to enhance our perception of nature hoping that his photographs will inspire our imagination and our subconscious to unravel the beauty and diversity created by forms and light in action.

Roger thrives on interactivity with the image, and hopes viewers will interact with the images to create their own verbal expression. Embarking on a process of communication, he wishes to penetrate the human contemplation process. Using “Quick-Time Virtual Reality” (QTVR), he is creating a process whereby images are gradually being transformed on the screen to generate feelings and enhance individual expression.

During Journées de la cultures he will conduct two interactive workshops of photo taking and text creation in Morin Heights, see website: www.rogerlauzon.net. On Thursday, Oct., 6, Roger Lauzon opens an exhibition at ICI par les arts, 712 rue Saint Georges, St. Jerome. 450-569-4000. www.iciparlesarts.com.
