on the Shores of Lake MacDonald!
The popular Cammac Sunday Brunch Concerts at 11 a.m., followed by a brunch
at a dining room overlooking the lake. The cost is $10 for the concert and

Evenings at Ste-Adèle
This is
the 10th edition of the Sainte Adele Nostalgia evenings, what’s more this
summer the six shows are free! It started July 2nd with Nanette
Workman, then July 9th with a tribute to U2, and continues:
Sat., July 16: homage to Elvis Presley. Bob Walsh plays his
guitar on Sat., July 23, and Sat., July 30, the group Habana Café
will make the audience move with their Cuban rhythmic music. The group
Les Trois Accords close the season on Sat., Aug., 6 at 8 p.m. The
location is "Parc de la Famille". In case of rain, performances will be
given at the “Chapiteau” of Park Claude-Henri Gringnon.

Private Garden Concert
Duo Robin Grenon – Gisèle Guibord, harpists
Sunday, July 10, 2 p.m. in a large private garden of Prevost. The
duo Grenon-Guibord has continually enchanted audiences with their
versatility, originality and audacity, since 1996. They play rhythmic
music from Latin America (Paraguay, Venezuela, and Peru) as well as the
nostalgic Celtic repertoire (England, Ireland, Scotland); they also
include Quebec songs and Robin Grenon compositions. Tickets: $10 available
at the Jean-Charles-Des Roches Library and at the Leisure Services of
Prevost. The concert program will be available upon purchasing your
tickets. The suggested attire for this event includes a straw hat, dress

Summer Concerts – Holy Trinity Lakefield
Elizabeth
Shephard
Toronto-based Soul-Jazz singer-pianist, Elizabeth Shepherd has already
recorded three albums. In 2010 she toured in Japan, Europe, Canada and
U.S. with music from her new record Heavy Falls the Night, and single
“Seven Bucks.” She was nominated twice to the Juno award, and for “Jazz
Artist of the Year” at the 2011 Independent Music Awards. The Montreal
Gazette wrote: Whether you’re a hipster, a purist or a Diana Krall-loving

Musée
d’art contemporain des Laurentides
Steven Siegel opened the exhibition of his installation entitled
“Biography”. Visitors were impressed by the magnitude of this work, done
in sections of about 2 feet each. It took a few years to make and in fact
it is an on-going project. The exhibit will be on display until Sept., 4.
On Sat., Aug., 13 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., the museum holds its
“Estiv’Art” event, with creative participatory sessions on the train
between Montreal and the Museum, performances, guided tours, and workshops

featured on July 9th, Michel Gautier from Val David, who makes
paper totems from prints originating in photography, and Cedric
Wachthausen, photographer. Both artists use photography to visually
mirror social issues. Event takes place at LézArts Loco in Val David, and

The
new “Galerie Route des Arts”, situated in Christ Church, St.
André-d’Argenteuil, will be presenting works by artists and artisans of
Greater Argenteuil each weekend until Sept., 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also new
this year is “Espace Contact-Arts” offering free demonstrations and
workshops by Route des Arts artists Saturdays and Sundays, in a special

The Annual exhibition takes place July 16th to 24th 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This
dynamic group of artists traditionally organizes one of the most exciting
cultural evenings in Morin Heights. In the past few years the group has
grown to include over thirty members and so has their contribution to the

This is a charming location in an old church, next to a lake, right on the
aerobic trail. It is a pleasant stop with facilities for hikers. This
month it features two different exhibitions. Upstairs an exhibition by

Roosters
Also at the Montfort
Pavilion: until July 24, a display of 700 Rooster artefacts, a private
30-year collection of Yves Léveillé. Yves worked as a teacher, and was
involved in educational programs for the government of Quebec. He is also
devoted to literature for children which he is still involved in. During
his career he encouraged many writers and creators of books for the young.
Yves is a volunteer and a “Papi resource” for the “Maison de la famille
des pays-d’en-haut” in this capacity Yves and his wife Hélène “Mamie
resource” help young mothers taking care of children when they need help
with special activities. Open from Thursday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For children there is a space to do their own creations during the show
free material provided. For adults there will be workshops July 2nd and

L’En Verre du décor
is an annual event featuring many artisans for the 9th time. It is an
exhibition including demonstrations and sales of glass art, pottery, and
ceramics at the Park George Filion in St. Sauveur on Friday, Saturday
July 15, 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m.
There
are glass blowers, pottery workshops-presentations, and other free
activities during these three days when visitors will have the opportunity
to see artists at work.
As part
of the exchange between this Laurentian region and Japan through the
« Expo-culture Japan-Quebec » project, a glass artist and two ceramists
from Japan were invited. These internationally renowned artists will
spend 10 days in the Laurentians. They will be welcomed to St. Sauveur on
Thursday, July 14, by the Mayor, Michel Lagacé, at the St. Sauveur City
Hall.
This
event is produced by "Passage d’artistes", in cooperation with the St.
Sauveur Valley Chamber of Commerce, financial support from the MRC
Pays-d’en-Haut, the Caisse Desjardins de la Vallée de Saint-Sauveur, and
the ex-national assembly member Monique Guay, who enabled the annual
“perseverance” prize for one of the exhibiting artists.

CIEM
presents - Imaginary Garden
An exhibition of printed art by five inspired young artists of
Kanehsatake, who created art at the CIEM print shop in Ste. Scholastique
during October to May 2011. Their creations express what the essence of
what their heritage instilled in them including their particular approach
to the nature surrounding them. The exhibition includes individual prints
done while working with CIEM’s program coordinator Suzie Pilon, and
professional artists Wolf Mendritzki, Elizabeth Sacca, Paul-Émile Rioux,
Carlos Martinez, and Martin Dufour. A collective work done with the
artists Tanya Lyons, of Lachute will also be displayed. The exhibit is
being held at the Rotiwennakéhte Immersion School, 407, St. Michel,
